Burglary of Habitation Offenses, possibly related.
On 09/24/12
38XX Warwick Ln. - Officers dispatched at 9:30am to an attempted burglary. The resident was at home and heard a "crashing sound", went to the living room to investigate and observed a w/m, approximately 6'00", medium build with sandy blonde hair with a "grown out crew cut", wearing a white T-shirt and tan pants. The suspect had smashed a back window and was attempting to enter the home when he saw the resident. He fled to a tan colored 4-door that was backed into the driveway.
56XX Exeter - A report was taken at 7:00pm and the time frame is between 7:30am-6:45pm. The resident arrived home from work and discovered his back gate damaged. The garage door from the backyard into the garage was forced open, and the interior garage door leading to the kitchen was also forced to make entry. No alarm system was in use. A laptop, and other small items were missing. Neighbors were contacted and no witnesses were found.

TWO Burglaries in two days!
Neighborhood Crime Watch,
3200blk Grantham Dr. (Wyndsor Estates) North East Richardson.
On 08/21/12 at 9:20am, RPD responded to a 9-1-1 call from a resident who said she was home asleep when she heard the sound of breaking glass. The resident ignored the sound thinking it was something else. The resident then said a man opened her bedroom door and when he saw her, he ran from the location. He was described as white or Hispanic, tall, thin, wearing a blue shirt and between late teens and 30 years old. Jewelry and a shotgun were stolen during the burglary. Officers canvassed the neighborhood and did not locate any other witnesses with information.

Area: Northeast Richardson, (E. Renner Rd. and Brand Rd.)
On 08/22, RPD took a report of a burglary of a residence at 55XX Carrington Dr. Sometime between 8am and 6pm, burglar(s) forced entry by breaking the glass on the rear patio door and stole a laptop computer from inside the home. The burglars also searched through various rooms however nothing else was found missing. Officers checked with neighbors who did not report seeing anything suspicious. No alarm system was active at the location.
Remember to keep an eye out for neighbors and report any suspicious activity to 9-1-1.

Aggravated Assault NEAR BRECKINRIDGE PARK ON JUNE 2, 2012 AT 9:30 AM
SUSPECT: w/m, 20’s to early 30’s, 6ft, slim build, short dark hair, blue eyes, clean shaven,
wearing beige running shorts and a beige shirt.
Female victim was driving n/b in the 3500 block of Park Vista Rd, in a partially
wooded area. She observed a white male on the East side of the road attempting
to flag her down by waving his arms franticly. The suspect stated his dog was
really hurt and he needed help and that he was not a weirdo. He grabbed her by
the arm, forced her into the wooded area and pushed her down. The victim
continued to resist the suspect. The suspect was armed with a box cutter and used
it to threaten the victim. The victim then pepper sprayed the suspect, he let go
and ran northbound on Park Vista Rd. The victim never saw a vehicle and lost
sight of the suspect as he ran away.
The suspect, if seen in the area immediately following this incident, may have
exhibited the following symptoms due to the effects of pepper spray: watering
eyes, runny nose, coughing, trouble breathing.
